- Job Corps is a free education and training program that helps young people learn a career, if needed earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. For eligible young people at least 16 up to 24 years of age that qualify as low income. Job Corps provides the all-around skills needed to succeed in a career and in life. If you or someone you know is interested in joining Job Corps, please call (800) 733-JOBS or (800) 733-5627, where an operator will provide you with information about Job Corps, refer you to the admissions counselor closest to where you live and mail you an information packet.
- There is one Job Corp Center in Wyoming and three in Western Montana.
- Wind River Job Corps Training. Students have access to a driver education program and English as a Second Language. In addition to career training, Wind River Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and social skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. These courses help students meet a series of career success standards focused on throughout their time here. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential. Students attending the Wind River Job Corps Center can choose from a variety of career technical training areas, including those listed below. Job Corps career technical training programs are aligned with industry standards, offer opportunities to earn industry-based credentials and are designed to meet the requirements of today’s careers.

- Wind River Job Corps is set up like a college campus with student dorms and meals, & complete with a variety of enrichment activities including athletics, career exploration, community service, work-based learning and internships, leadership development, student government association, & job shadowing. On center is basic medical, preventative dental, mental health, and recreation center with movies, activities, & trips for swimming. Transportation is provided & students are paid a small amount for hands-on learning. Students can start and exit any time of year.
