- The Recreation Board manages 13 recreational facilities located throughout Sweetwater County. It is our hope that this page will serve as a way to let our community know about these great locations! Some parks can be reserved from Memorial Day through Labor Day — give us a call or visit our website to schedule your event!

- Arrowhead Springs Park features 2 picnic tables, a youth fishing pond, temporary restrooms and a parking area. From Rock Springs take Highway 430 to County Road 4-27 at the Phosphate Plant. Travel 4 miles on 4-27 to the Arrowhead Springs Subdivision. The park is accessed through the subdivision.
- Bicentennial Park features 14 picnic tables, playground equipment and temporary restrooms.
Located on Highway 191 north in Eden, Wyoming; 38 miles north of Rock Springs. - Big Sandy Park features 4 group shelters, 1 restroom, playground equipment, 2 horseshoe pits, 1 softball field, 1 tennis court, and an indoor youth activity center. Located in 1 mile east on Highway 28, across from the Farson School, it is also home to the Big Sandy Youth Center.
- The Big Sandy Youth Center is located 1 mile east on Highway 28 inside the Big Sandy Park (across from the Farson School). A Youth Center Supervisor schedules activities Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Supervisor hangs an ‘Open’ banner on the fence when the Center is open. There will be times when the Youth Center will be closed because of unforeseen circumstances.
- Crossroads West Park features 1 group picnic shelter, 2 softball and 2 soccer fields, 3 horseshoe pits and a playground. Located at 744 Gookin-White Mountain Road, Rock Springs.

Mesa Park features playground equipment, 3 horseshoe pits, basketball courts, volleyball court and temporary restrooms. Located North of Rock Springs, between Gannet Drive and Quadrant Drive.

Pioneer Trails Picnic Grounds is a 52 acre park with 3 group picnic shelters, 20 picnic tables, 3 restrooms, playground equipment, nature trails, 3 volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits. Picnic pavilions can be reserved by contacting the Sweetwater County Recreation Board. Located off I-80 between Rock Springs and Little America, to Highway 372 to Road 68, The Pioneer Trails Picnic Road, by the Green River.

Reliance Park features 3 shelters, 2 restrooms, playground equipment, 4 horseshoe pits, 1 softball field and 2 tennis courts. Located North of Rock Springs, Highway 191 North, Reliance Exit, 2.3 miles behind the Reliance School Building.
- The Aero-modelers Park features 1 group picnic shelter, model airplane runway and temporary restrooms.Located East of Rock Springs. From I-80, take the South Baxter Road exit, 3 1/2 miles east on the Frontage Road.
- The Sweetwater County Archery Range features archery target shooting and temporary restrooms. Take Highway 191 South, turn west onto the Little Firehole Road, the Archery Range is located 2 miles on the left.

Sweetwater County Picnic Grounds features 4 group picnic shelters, 35 tables, 2 restrooms, playground equipment, 13 horseshoe pitches, youth fishing pond, boat ramp (only rafts or small watercraft), 1 volleyball court, 1 softball field and 1 basketball court. Reservations for the 1 large pavilion and the 2 horseshoe pits can be made through the Sweetwater Country Recreation Board Office. Located Five miles west of Green River off Highway 374.
- The Sweetwater County Shooting Sports Complex features 1 – 500 yard and 2 – 200 yard shooting lanes with 7 shooting benches and target stands. The Shooting Range on Little Firehole Road South of Green River on Highway 191 will be open to walk-in traffic everyday dawn to dusk through October 31. Eye and ear protection are required. Please bring your own paper target to shoot. Call 922-5450 or 872-3935 for more information.
- The Sweetwater County Trap Club features trap shooting and an indoor meeting room with kitchen & restroom; the club has open public shooting Sundays 1 pm to 5 pm and Wednesdays 6 to dark and is at 655 Gookin-White Mountain Road, West of Rock Springs.
