The Sweetwater Family Resource Center operates Family Support, Family Visitation and Family Independence Programs. Provides a safe place for parents to visit with children and a safe place to exchange children between parents.

The Sweetwater Family Resource Center conducts the following programs:
- The Family Visitation Program supervises visitation between children and non-custodial parents, and facilitates custody exchanges between parents who are not together, so that children can safely spend time with both parent while avoiding overt conflict, maintaining positive relationships with the significant adults in their lives and reducing feelings of abandonment.
- The Family Support Program works toward reducing child abuse and neglect and promotes positive family functioning. It conducts classes in anger management, parenting, and financial management in the community and at the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
- Conducts classes in anger management, parenting, and financial management in the community and at the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
- Housing First provides assistance to chronically homeless families and individuals such as rapid re-housing, permanent supportive housing, and short term rental assistance.

The Family Independence Program provides temporary and limited financial assistance with rent, utilities, gas, hot water heaters and furnaces, helping families to avoid homelessness or inadequate housing situations while taking steps to improve their independence.
