Showboat Retirement Center is an assisted living facility that takes Medicaid waiver funding for program expenses. In addition to Medicaid, we charge about 80% of resident’s personal income for room & board.
We assist residents with ADL’s – Activities of daily living….. our services include:
laundry
weekly housekeeping
3 daily meals plus snacks
coffee and tea always available in common area
assist with taking medications
clinical staff available 24 hours; RN on staff
we work with each resident to develop an appropriate plan of care according to their needs
Program activities are planned such as:
BINGO
table games
cards
parties and more!
Transportation is provided by the Lander Senor Center with senior bus available week-days for medical appointments, shopping, etc.
We provide cable television and all utilities.
You provide your own furnishings; it’s a private room.
Residents at Showboat must meet the following guidelines:
Mobility – must be able to self-evacuate and be able to transfer themselves out of bed, for toileting, etc.
Diet – must be on a regular diet – we are not set up for therapeutic diets. We do work with residents to help them watch sugar or salt but they must be on a regular diet.
Dementia – may have early signs of dementia but they can not be a danger to themselves or others. We cannot accept people who wander off or get lost.
No drinking in room.
Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking area.
