Our Mission is to encourage the development of successful citizens by building relationships which promote a healthy community. The Bright Futures Mentoring Program improves the lives of our youth of Cody by helping them to reach their highest potential through relationships with positive role models.

• Community Mentoring – Taking a child into the community two hours a week. In-School Community Mentoring – Meeting with the child one to two times per week for one hour each time in the local schools, during the school day.
• High School Mentoring – High School Juniors and seniors meet with children in the elementary schools during the school day, during their block classes four days each.
• Self-Esteem Mentoring – 5th and 6th grade girls and boys meet with those in their own grade once a month to discuss topics such as bullying, advocating for one’s self, self-defense, and how to dissolve a bad friendship. Mentors meet with the group two hours each month at the Cody Public Library. (Leadership for 7th and 8th grade girls).
• Gifted and Talented Mentoring – Local school children 1st grade through 12th that have been tested and identified by the schools as being gifted. Children are mentored once a month for planned activities in the community by professionals such as photographers, veterinarians, and biologists.
• High School Students Mentoring Students in the High School – Seniors mentoring freshmen as well as advocating for them.
• We sponsor Group/Community Activities.​
  • We are governed by a local board.
  • We are a 501(c)3 Not for Profit Organization.
  • We do not receive government funding.
  • We Pay it Forward.
  • We are role models, good listeners, and trusted friends.
  • We are active with all the Cody schools and collaborate with all organizations that work with Cody kids.
  • We work with 60 kids per month.
